Why Subscribe?

Subscribe to get full access to the newsletter sent out at the New Moon and the Full Moon each month, and to be part of an LGBTQIA+ community and their allies that are each exploring their relationship of belonging to the Earth and each other. I will share:

  • regular writings and artistic reflections around my own journey of what it is to embody this exploration of my relationship to the sacred, the natural world, and belonging, as a non-binary, trans, queer artist, writer, and facilitator.

  • my studio work and its process - both because it sits at the intersection of the sacred and the natural world, and also because the process is reflective of what it is to belong to the Earth and to each other.

  • what it is that I hear and see and feel in relation to the natural world as I sit with the trees, the water, the moon, the birds, the rain, and other entities that provide us with life and depth with encouragement for you to grow your own listening.

  • an introduction to other teachers, guides, and spiritual explorers from the LGBTQIA+ community, past and present, as well as teachings that reflect, integrate, and explore the necessity and gifts of this community as it relates to an embodied understanding of belonging.

  • reflections, inquiry, and meditations to engage with on your own time and in developing your own practices.

Will you choose to be present with what is . . . allow yourself to rebuild connection to the natural world and to each other . . . choose to stand in love instead of fostering disconnect and fear? I will. And I hope you will join me.

About Me

My name is ‘M’. My pronouns are they/them/their. I am a non-binary, trans, and queer artist, writer, and facilitator.

I am here to create images, spaces, writings, and conversations that call out to us to remember that we belong. To the earth. And to each other.

I am here to create stickers, coloring book pages, children’s books illustrations, prints, blog entries, murals, and installations. I am here to expand into creating patches, pins, postcards, posters, clothing, novellas, and murals. I am here to create spaces and conversations to connect and reflect virtually, in person, around the fire, and in the natural world. I am here to expand these opportunities to galleries, shelters, jails, and to a wide range of public and private spaces. I am here to bring these images, spaces, and conversations to as many individuals as possible to counteract the systems of oppression in our times that seek to sever our knowing that we belong. To the earth. And to each other.

I have studied aspects of Buddhism, Christianity, Daoism, Islam, and Judaism. I have learned from elders of indigenous traditions across the world – China, Mexico, Peru, South Africa, West Africa – and here in the US. I have met and held with great love, people from all walks of life; I have learned who I am by learning who they are.

I am grounded in the fine arts, writing, the body, earth-based practices, conflict management/transformation, deep listening, and a layered understanding of interrelationship and social-emotional intelligence that serves my work in centering agency, connection, liberation, presence, and wholeness.

I reside in Western Massachusetts on Pocumtuc and Nipmuc land and hold a BFA in Fibers from Maryland Institute College of Art in Baltimore, MD, an M.Sc. in Applied Conflict Studies & Mediation from Champlain College in Burlington, VT, and a certificate from the Spiritual Direction Practicum through Still Harbor in Boston, MA to provide accompaniment to those working for justice and peace.

I acknowledge the indigenous people as the original and current keepers of this knowledge of belonging and the natural world, and the incredible violence they continue to face from colonization, capitalism, and white supremacy. In this, I commit to gifting 50% of the profit from every tip and purchase of my studio work and 10% of every Patreon pledge, commission, fundraiser, and grant to indigenous-led groups whose work supports these traditions to flourish and thrive for generations to come.
